Extended Bio

Jodi Gibson is an Australian author of contemporary women’s fiction, or as she likes to call it: fiction with all the feels. Her debut novel, a contemporary drama titled The Memories We Hide was independently published in August 2019. Her next novel, The Five Year Plan, is a lighter romantic women’s fiction and combines travel, food, and romance.

A graduate of Fiona McIntosh’s Masterclass in 2017, Jodi has also studied with the Australian Writers’ Centre.

During her time as a freelance writer and copywriter, Jodi had articles published online in Women’s Agenda, Essential Baby/Kids, and The Sydney Morning Herald.

A highlight of her writing career to date was having two of her 8-word stories selected by Nick Earls to appear on billboards across Brisbane. She has also received a highly commended in The New York Midnight Short Story Challenge.

When Jodi isn’t writing, she runs a successful bathroom renovation business with her husband. She spends her days taxiing around two teenagers and procrastinating with two playful golden retrievers, two cats, a horse, and various chickens on their mini-farm in regional Victoria. Jodi enjoys reading, baking, and travelling the world, when global pandemics allow of course. She’s also a self-professed trivia master, loves rom-coms, and her specialist subject on mastermind would be 80s music.
